About Image Compressor

Image Compressor runs in your browser. Adjust the available quality and size controls, then compare the result with the original. Savings depend on the source and chosen format; lossy compression can reduce quality and a particular upload limit is not guaranteed.

How to use Image Compressor

  1. Choose a supported still image.
  2. Select the output format, maximum edge and quality.
  3. Compress, compare the size and preview, then download the actual output format.

Where processing happens

Important limitations

PNG quality is lossless; the quality slider applies to lossy formats. JPEG uses a white background instead of transparency. Animated images are not supported.
